DynaSense VersaLab 2201
Analog, Proportional Solid State Temperature Control
Platinum RTD Probe, shown above, not included. Order separately.
Features:
- 1000W Power Thyristor
- Phase Angle Control
- Heater Power Limit Control
- Sensor Input (order separately): Thermistor or Platinum RTD-100ohms
- Ranges:
0°F to +500°F (Thermistor)
-302°F to +1000°F (Platinum RTD) - Sensitivity: 0.5°F
- Exclusive Range Selector Design: Optimizes amplifier performance and allows universal usage of many standard type thermistor or resistance/temperature detectors (RTDs) while providing full range temperature coverage in overlapping bands.
- Coarse/Fine Setpoint Controls: Provide the highest resolution temperature adjustment and setability when used without exclusive temperature setting charts.
- Solid State Circuitry and Transformer Design: Provides electrically safe isolation of RTD input circuit for dependable operation.
- Proportional Power Output Monitors: Continuously indicate thyristor output state and assist in system setup for tuning for a straight line control response at the setpoint temperature.
- Solid State Output Thyristor: Is designed to control the flow of AC power to resistive type heating devices ONLY. Total wattage of all heaters connected to the module must not exceed 1000 watts.
- Exclusive Heater Power Limit Control and Fixed Proportional Bandwidth: Ensures stable straight line response of most systems.
The VersaLab 2201 Series Proportional Temperature Control allows instant plug-in system setup and uses a wide range of thermistor or platinum wire RTDs. In operation, the resistance versus temperature change of the temperature sensing RTD is amplified by a solid state assembly that controls the conduction angle of the output thyristor in direct proportion to the system demand and deviation from the setpoint temperature. The conservatively rated output control thyristor continuously adjusts the flow of AC power to load receptacle. Resistive heating devices with the total load capacity of 1000 watts maximum may be connected at the load receptacle.
